On the nose, the Abtsberg Kabinett impresses with a multifaceted variety of aromas. It is herbaceous with ethereal herbs, mint, thyme, and iced candy. In addition, there is the typical mineral impression of the Abtsberg: wet dark slate and clear mountain stream water. Its fruit reveals itself with stone fruit such as nectarines, vineyard peaches, mirabelle plums and also fresh pineapple. The palate is initially supple with yellow stone fruit, but this is followed by a citric tension from the taste of rhubarb, lychee and ripe kiwi. Its initially creamy mouthfeel is combined with a tremendous salinity on the finish. The combination of its precise acidity and saltiness gives it great precision and wonderful length on the palate.
Perfect combination with burrata with passion fruit, sea salt and olive oil.
